Snatching

It all begins while I was having an informal meeting with my colleague over at his place to clear some minor stuff (of which took a freaking long time thereafter). Suddenly at around 9pm, a frightening calls from my sister. She sounded so desperate and I was so afraid that something might happen to her.

Clearing from all the confusion I called my dad for clarifications. What he told me next shocked the shit out of me. My nose literally lost its flesh. My mom was part of the snatch thief victim club. By the way, that club is currently having an intense growing number of members; some of it involves dead members all thanks to those ‘wonderful’ snatch thieves supported purely by our very own ‘hardworking’ bunch of law enforcers *cough*police*cough*

The incident took place in Bangsar, in the residential parking area just out of the Bangsar Shopping Centre. They came in a White Proton Iswara from behind and snatch her bag, causing my mom to fall and tumble complimented later with scathes and bruises and of course plenty of numbness. With her at that time were both of her colleagues but it was utterly hopeless, as these ‘fearless’ thieves have nothing to fear except the fear of being cashless.

Ever quickly, HL drove me to Bangsar. The whole journey I was worry sick and in me, my hearth was cursing those bunch of coward low lifers, those @#$%$@@&*#*. HL drove pretty fast and reckless most of the time. In order for me to safely worry for someone, I told him, “Don’t be reckless but fast”. Ok I got to agree, that phrase was not funny, but if you said it in Cantonese, all its meaning remain and at times can be really humorous.

Once in Bangsar, I rushed into the clinic specified by my mom, and there it was, my dad sitting there having a little chat with one of mom colleague. HL sat in a corner while listening to their conversation, I was beside dad but my mind was with my mom situation. Soon impatient-ness of me took over and tried to enter the consultation room. Once I pop open the door, mom came out with another colleague at another door. There and then I felt so stupid.

There it was my mom, with her right arm almost covered in yellow looking medicine and a bandage around her elbow. Her movement looks fine with some minor restrictions but most of the complains came from her chest as she feel pain from there. I asked her to go do an X-ray but then, according to the doctor, nothing around the chest area were broken or even fractured but some bruises might be seen the very next day.

Next we went to the police station to lodge a report so that she is able to retrieve some important documents with ease from various companies she have interest on. The bloody station was a pain in the butt, it took such a freaking long time to get it completed and to top that up we need to pay RM2 just to get the report done. What happen to the verse, “Serving for the people”?

Dear fellow good people who reads this boredom, please be careful and aware of the surroundings especially cars and motorbikes coming from all corners. If so happen *touch wood* it did occur, just let the bag go, it is not worth risking your life. Like a Chinese saying, “lost of wealth may prevent disaster”.

Oh well, this may be applicable to Malaysia, anywhere else, I am too ignorant to know.
